Civil Enforcement Division

The Civil Enforcement Division of the Travis County Attorney's Office represents Travis County and its officials in state and federal courts in all civil matters where the County or county official is a plaintiff. Practice areas include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Matters relating to the forfeiture of bail bonds
  • Matters relating to the County’s exercise of Eminent Domain
  • Matters relating to civil enforcement of environmental laws
  • Matters relating to enforcement of other statutes and regulations
  • Matters involving damage to property owned by the County
  • Enforcement of workers’ compensation liens
  • Collection of amounts due for services provided by the County

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
