I hope everyone has had a great three-day weekend and MLK Day.

We are expecting weather overnight that may cause changes in schedule tomorrow. I have a Decision Makers Call at 6pm this evening with our fellow local governments. Irrespective of what happens with that call regarding institutional closures, the Commissioners Court voting session will convene. I am asking that all Commissioners, County executives and direct reports have the capability at home to teleconference in if necessary. In addition, my office has reached out to the Sheriff's Office to drive Court members and Gillian from the County Clerk's Office to 700 Lavaca if necessary.

The following is my Sunday Best Guess for the Consent Motion. Please let me and the relevant County executives know if you would like to deliberate any of the following items:

2025 TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 8.0 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $24.73.
